Re: [wlug] Fedora 2 and rpm denial
Alistair. Still not able to do this. Are you able to downgrade your instructions to double simpleton for me???
download the gpg key that the freshrpms packages are signed with: http://freshrpms.net/packages/RPM-GPG-KEY.txt
What to do here. There is nothing to download, I saved the all the text (from start to finish) in an open office file as Key.sxw
I opened the terminal and cut and paste your script, then enter. no response! Still will not install due to Key issue John....
and then import it: # rpm --import RPM-GPG-KEY.txt

Err, you can put the text into a text editor, but a word processor document is not a plaintext file. You are supposed to simply download the file.
How about
wget http://freshrpms.net/packages/RPM-GPG-KEY.txt
on the command line?

Well yes, because an SXW is not a plaintext file and RPM will not find the key inside all that gunk (not to mention it will be compressed, so not obvious to begin with).

John; for future reference you could also have saved that txt file directly from mozilla, using the "Save As" option under the "File" menu..
Anyway, hopefully you now have everything you need :)
