Microsoft’s Cascadia Font Offers Ligatures For Programmers

I just heard of this https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandline/cascadia-code/, though it was apparently announced back in May. It has OpenType context-dependent substitutions for displaying “>=” as “≥”, “/=” as “≠” among others.
Me? I just think it’s about time programming languages supported those Unicode characters directly.
