I have FC2 on a box that I want to put Windows on. How do I uninstall FC2? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Gun,

I wouldn't bother. Just install XP over the top, choosing to remove all Linux partitions on the way. XP will rewrite the bootsector without any care for what is already there - this is usually a problem, but in your case, it's a benefit. :)

Are you are installing Win2k or XP? If so when you get to the partitioning part of the Win install you should be able to just delete all the existing partitions and then continue with the Windows install

Booting from an XP Pro cd I got "Setup is checking your hardware...." then hung. Booting from a W98 SE cd " An error was detected while formatting your primary hard disk partition" Hard drive problem? How can I check it with Linux on the partition?

My suggestion would be to boot Knoppix (or similar) and delete your hard disk partitions. Then Windows ought to be able handle a nice "clean" disk.
