I look forward to the results being posted with much interest

I'm playing with a number of distros as I want to find an ideal little distro that is as easy as pie for a newbie.
This is what I am looking for also..
I tried the live CD, and ... how do i say it nicely. .... not a pretty experience, 2 machines wouldn't even boot to X, and the third did but no mouse, (I think the KVM switch might have upset something,)
I wonder why in the space of a posting the o/s goes from awesome (lindsay) to the result that you found. I have no idea what the "kvm" switch is or does. Regards John..
I loaded SuSE onto my desktop here at Uni. What an awesome distro... Very easy to load up. Thanks again.
KVM is Keyboard Video Mouse switching
It allows me to have 2 PC's working on the same monitor and keyboard, they worked fine, but it missed the mouse. I have seen that before too.
Also I only looked at the live CD whie the other report was a 9.1 hard drive install, a whole different CD.
I will be installing it later.
Also the hardware I had to use was a little non-standard, mostly video, so the X issue was really no surprise. and the other MB has an isssue with UDMA and the cdrom, so I may need to tweak the bios.
