I wonder if he's got time to come up here again?
Would someone in WLUG be able to get something arranged?
Steve

Hello
As per our conversation, Richard Stallman who is the founder of GNU (www.gnu.org) and the GPL License, and is the authority on Free Software and is a passionate speaker on such topics. He will be in Wellington from the 13th until the 17th of August.
A brief bio of Richard Stallman:
Richard Stallman launched the development of the GNU operating system (see www.gnu.org) in 1984. GNU is free software: everyone has the freedom to copy it and redistribute it, as well as to make changes either large or small. The GNU/Linux system, basically the GNU operating system with Linux added, is used on tens of millions of computers today. Stallman has received the ACM Grace Hopper Award, a MacArthur Foundation fellowship, the Electronic Frontier Foundation's Pioneer award, and the the Takeda Award for Social/Economic Betterment, as well as several honorary doctorates.
I know Nandor Tanczos had an interest about Linux and Free Software and was interested in contacting him directly.
I will be organising his itinerary and main point of contact during his visit to Wellington and was interested in if the Greens were interested in a meeting / presentation or some media event with him.
Please either e-mail me back, or call me on 04 470 5540 or 0272 905 735 and we can talk further.
Kind regards.
Peter Lambrechtsen
