Troubleshooting ISC DHCP SERVER config-file (dhcpd.conf) error messages:

If you get:

" For info, please visit https://www.isc.org/software/dhcp/

/etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf line 33: e74f4b0 exceeds max (255) for precision. "

Make sure you put colons ":" between each two alphanumeric digits in your MAC addresses, e.g. 0A1B2C3D4E5F, will give you the above error.

Make sure it looks like: 0A:1B:2C:3D:4E:5F.

Also, IP addresses go in quotes "192.168.0.xxx" etc, and MAC addresses 0A:1B:2C:3D:4E:5F do not need any.
