CALL FOR PAPERS - CIBERART BILBAO 2004 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Submission Deadline for Conference "Challenges for a Ubiquitous Identity" Extended

The International Conference will be held within the International Festival of New Technologies Ciberart Bilbao 2004 which will take place from April 26th to 29th 2004 (Bilbao - Spain).
We are inviting you to present your papers for the key themes of the Conference which include: Computational Sociology, Televirtuality and Telepresence, Body and Nets, Synaptic Cartography, Planetary Art, The Museum of the Ubiquitous Art.
The Scientific Committee that will select the submitted papers is formed by the following theorists: Roy Ascott (UK), Victoria Vesna (USA), Ángel Kalenberg (Uruguay), Elisenda Ardèvol (Spain), Guilia Colaizzi (Italy), Peter Andres (USA), Alex Galloway (USA), Josu Rekalde (Spain), Lourdes Cilleruelo (Spain), Ramón López de Mantáras Badia (Spain), Javier Echevarría (Spain) y Pierre Bongiovanni (France).
April 29th, last day of the Conference, will be dedicated to the Planetary Collegium presentations, group of theorists directed by Roy Ascott. A list of the speakers is available at the Festival's web page.

We too, have a remarkable (in my objective and totally unbiased
opinion!) 4th year show opening 4 pm Saturday the 15th November, at the
Quay School of the Arts, Rutland St., Wanganui (continuing until the 5th
of December). Our 3rd year exhibition opens 7 pm 19th November at 62
Taupo Quay, Wanganui. Both feature many innovated gems of digital, video
and installation art.

AUT Graduate Exhibition
Preview Monday 17 November, 5-8pm
Open Day Friday 21 November, 10am-6pm
J, K & E Blocks
Students in their final year of study for Bachelor of Visual Arts at AUT
will be exhibiting their artwork for public viewing on Friday 21 November
from 10am - 6pm. This event will include a number of students working in
digital, moving image and installation as well as painting, photography,
printmaking and sculpture.
An official exhibition opening will be held on the evening of Monday 17
Nov, from 5-8pm. The arts industry and art education community are
specially invited to this opening event.
