LCA2006 Will be held in Dunedin, New Zealand from
23rd to 28th of
Main Talks and Events will be held at The University of Otago
Somehow, it is now less than a year till 2006.
Linux.Conf.au is one of the very biggest Linux events, with all the
rich companies and famous people. It's tough getting slots in the
main conference, but we could push for an arts "miniconf" beforehand.
exhibits the concept.
would anyone be interested?
i'd love to be there and possibly can be. i have intentions of making
back to NZ around that time.
how about an open-source tools for new-media artists workshop?
a suite of free and open-soure tools i enjoy teaching to beginners;
Blender (mesh-modelling, rendering to film, animation
(skeletal/track/constraint), 3D game engines (real-time 3D, use of
game-engines for VJ'ing), Pure Data (number shaping, event processing,
DSP overview), Python (the artists' swiss-army knife).
alternatively/additionally how about a show of FOSS artworks made by
new zealanders for the Linux platform (ex-pats included!)?
