WHAT IS 404 FESTIVAL / ON TOUR?
"404 FESTIVAL on Tour" is an "Astas Romas" project which aims to
horizontal interchange and cultural transmission of Electronic Art in
different parts of the world.
"404 On Tour" intends to set up a creative global interchange net of this
new art, thus originating numerous opportunities of producing
interdisciplinary and interregional collective work and giving a present
view of the electronic world field encouraging people from each visited city
to encounter these new tendencies.
This project generates not only an interchange among artists of different
places but, it is also meant for the audience, who will have the possibility
of attending a selection of the production presented in the previous
versions shown in Rosario where the Festival took place.
Each presentation consists of an exhibition of masterpieces in the different
categories of Electronic Art such as music, theory, net art, performance,
and video, among others. It is an itinerary proposal, the development of
which is designed according to each specific geographical place.

decided to launch a European Tour that begins on May 31th 2007.
Directors and team of the "404 Festival will be visiting cultural centers,
public and alternative places performing live concerts, projections and
conferences, also presenting "404 selected" artworks from international

Synchdub (Belgium), Sample Mousse (Finland), Guillermo Giampietro & Lara

404 Festival is an independent project without profit purposes, which
principal objective is to impel and spread artistic production (in
Electronic Art field) from all over the world, making a production
environment where the authors get related.
404 is an artistic project created by Astas Romas (Gina Valenti and
Mariano Guzmán), with headquarters at Rosario City (ARG), urban and cultural
center with more than a million inhabitants.

Astas Romas produced the third edition of the International Festival of
Electronic Art 404. This Festival took place in Centro Cultural Parque de
España and Plaza Cívica, in Rosario, Argentina, from November 30th. to
December 3rd. 2006.
As a result of the open call 2006, 106 works from 27 different countries
were selected in the categories of Net.art, Still image, Animation, Video,
Music, Audiovisual-Set, Theory, Performance, and Installation.
Nearly 80 artists from around the World, including countries like Japan,
Serbia, USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Italy, Chile, Belgium
