The Aesthetics in Code post is something dear to my bosom. I think
developers tend to be very vain about their code .. If you ever meet a
programmer in Armani then hire them because their code will likely be
Terms like elegance are used liberally .. it's a very traditional
notion of aesthetics that programmers have when talking about code.
When people hear elegance and beauty as being talked about as the
markers of aesthetics how does that sound? What do the other
programmers think about aesthetics in code when you introduce the
notion to the philosophy of art?
