Packet Garden is now considered 'stable'.
the project has had 10's of thousands of downloads in the last few weeks
since appearing in a few big newspapers and online journals.
as a result i've been pummelled with bug reports. this has improved
the software quickly, enough to put out a better-looking, stable,
more statistically representative release on time.
Windows users now have a double-click installer. Ubuntu and Debian users just
have to drop in a package. OS X PPC users just click the package.

Trudy, great to hear the BETA install wasn't painful for you. with the current
version OS X users no longer need to install Python first.
many have expressed concern about the implications of PG to personal
privacy, with one rampant thread deciding that PG was actually an
application designed by the NSA to track user movements.
i can only hope the 'About' page at the above address will allay
any fears of the tinfoil-hat variety..
