Hi Eng CMS people,
Tim Walmsley will be heading this year's Engineering Design Show committee. He asked me what members will we sending.
Last year, I ended up participating in it accidentally. Apart from my weekly contribution in terms of ideas, I arranged for our school to make a monetary contribution as discussed here:
As per a discussion between Panos and Stephen (cc'd in), the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences will be contributing $2000 towards the upcoming Engineering Design Show.
This money is to go primarily towards the graduate dinner and the prizes for Software students, and secondarily to other costs as needed.
As per the agreement with Panos and Stephen, this means that wherever "School of Engineering" is mentioned in any of the EDS documentation, "School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences" will be mentioned immediately after.
I'd recommend we make again a donation to ensure our school is named in all advertising material. Additionally, no CMS staff apart from me used it last year but the donation also covered participation in the annual leavers dinner. If the same happens this year, I'd recommend we advertise more heavily to the Engg CMS so they don't miss out :-)
