Hi folks,

Bunch of fixes to bring to you this week, note that we unintentionally broke python 3.4 compatibility in version 1.8.3 so released a hot fix release straight away when our testing on debian jessie revealed errors.

Please review the faucet installation documentation for a list of the different methods of installing faucet:

Highlights for this release include
  • Only provision flows for ports that are known to be up (fixes stacking when redundant links are down on initialization, among other cases)
  • Package new versions of faucet dependencies for debian, also worked around bug with our apt mirror that caused some dependencies to constantly upgrade
  • Test suite now drops traffic from host-side test interfaces when testing hardware switches (to stop DHCP, Avahi et al from contaminating the tests)
  • Test suite can use external pip cache from host (faster test startup)
