I have a few bgp sessions up with a corresponding number of friendly
people around the place, and have what I think is a reasonable view
of the NZ network.
I haven't amassed enough data to do anything particularly interesting
yet, but I thought I'd hack one thing together quickly since I've
heard a few people asking for it: see
for lists of "NZ networks" and "NZ ASNs" (there are some more precise
descriptions on that page). People interested in delineating national
and international traffic every month, for example, might find
(or one of the specific-month snapshots) useful. Possibly even more
useful when it has more than a few hours' worth of data in it.
If anybody feels like donating additional views of the BGP table, so
that I can try to keep this (and future) data as representative as
possible, all I need is a multi-hop ebgp session terminating on
220.127.116.11 in AS65517; drop me a line if you feel like setting
something up. Many thanks to those who have set one up for me already.
Oh, and if you see something in the data that is clearly wrong, please
let me know that too :)
