Hello everyone

Welcome to 2016.

The Postgraduate Students Association (PGSA) exists to represent all postgraduate interests at the University of Waikato. We work towards improving conditions at the university so that your postgraduate experience is positive and rewarding. Our goal is to cultivate a strong postgraduate culture on campus.

Our AGM is on Thursday 10th March 2016 in the library room 3.03, 2 – 3 pm.  This is your opportunity to become involved.  Join us at the AGM. You are also welcome to join our executive.  Being part of the executive does not require much work (as many hands make light work) and this is a great way to become part of the Postgraduate Community at the University.  It would also look good on your CVs.

Our AGM is advertised on: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Postgraduate-Students-Association-University-of-Waikato/190497727661273

I look forward to seeing you there.

Subject: [Pgsa_mem] PGSA Presentation Series

Hi everyone

The PGSA Presentation Series provides postgraduate students a chance to present their research to their peers in a friendly and constructive environment. If you're planning on presenting your research at an upcoming conference, or about to give a presentation to your department or faculty for Confirmed Enrolment, if you just want a chance to practice your presentation skills, or want to see others present, then come along and join us for an hour. Please see attached for the Presentation Series schedule from February to June 2016. If you have any questions about the presentation series, or would like to select a date to present, please get in touch with me.

The first in our series is confirmed for:

Date: 25 Feb (Thu)
Time: 3-4 pm
Venue: K.3.10 (FASS)

Muhammad Irfan from WMS will be practising for confirmed enrolment. His presentation is titled “The Demand, Selection, and Health Impacts of Household Energy".

Anoosh Soltani from FASS will be presenting her findings from her research. Her presentation is titled "Emotion in and around Muslim women in Hamilton".

On the same day, we're also having our Coffee Conversations, 2-3 pm at Espresso Plus (in the foodcourt by the lake).

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday at either or both events! :)

Best regards
