Hi Andrea,

I will try to make it to the writing retreat 23-24 Nov but may be a little late on the first day as I may be taking a bus from Tauranga in the morning.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Hi Everyone

Registrations are now open for the Student Learning Writing Retreat.

An opportunity to Increase your productivity!

Student Learning Writing Retreat

Date:  Thursday 23 and Friday 24 November
Time: 9.00am to 4pm both days
Venue: University Lodge (on campus)
Cost: Free!
Registration: Open now! Email Andrea Haines via ash1@waikato.ac.nz

You are welcome to enroll for both days/ one day or part of a day.

What’s involved?
The retreat provides you with an opportunity to focus on your writing in a space free of the usual distractions that you might otherwise encounter in your daily work space. The retreat is designed to provide a motivating, supportive environment where you can concentrate on writing, connect with others undertaking their own writing journeys,  discover strategies for overcoming writing blocks and receive feedback on your work if you wish. Sharing of work is entirely voluntary – the main aim of the retreat is to increase your productivity by giving you an opportunity to writeuninterrupted. Facilitators will be on hand to provide feedback on work for those seeking this.

Why join?
Students attending previous retreats have found the collegial atmosphere motivating and the feedback on their writing really helpful. Others have found that simply having the opportunity to write in a different space, free of the usual interruptions, enabled them to accomplish a good amount of work.

What you need to bring to the retreat:
Your laptop and the piece of writing you are currently working on. The venue has Wi Fi capability.

Morning/afternoon teas and lunch are provided by Student Learning

See you there!
