I am Hyeseung, a PhD student in general and applied linguistics. My HRE and full research
proposal have been approved, and now I am collecting data. I was wondering if I can get
PGSA's support for recruiting my participants.
My research project is investigating the acquisitional process of non-native English
speaking PhD students' competence for doing the literature review. The potential
participants I'm looking for are new PhD students and I'm researching how their
understanding and language ability for crafting their literature review grow over their
6-month conditional period.
My research is a qualitative study, so I need only a small number of PhD students (4 up to
6) and their supervisors as my participants. I will appreciate if PGSA helps me by posting
a email new PhD students to ask for volunteers. If this is a possible way to support me,
please let me know then I will send you more detailed information about recruiting
participants, such as some benefits of being my participants and the ways to participate.
Thank you for your time and help.
