Subject: Venues for Nvivo User seminars
As promised, I now have a venue for the proposed Nvivo seminars.
In the School of Management, Room MS4.G.02, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on
The proposed program is as follows, but I’m flexible and can alter to
Session 1: General Introduction to the GUI and functionality (for new
users), plus a quick survey – to find out what people want specifically
Session 2: Setting up your project, importing data (including
strengths, weaknesses, limitations), beginning coding, cases
Session 3: On-coding, annotating, memoing, linking, external sources
Session 4: Querying your data, charting and reporting
Session 5: Advanced uses – complex querying, modeling nodes,
hyperlinking to external data, grouping and using sets
Session 6: Exporting nodes, lists, query results
Session 7: The so what of all of this – Writing up your findings.
Looking forward to seeing you all next Wednesday 4th March and then
weekly after that.
