The PGSA Committee are calling a general meeting to amend “The Constitution
of The University of Waikato Post-Graduate Student’s Association.”
We are giving 28 days notice of the *proposed* amendment:
*The Annual General Meeting shall be held in October or November*
This is to replace the *current* clause:
*The Annual General Meeting shall be held in March or April *
The rationale for the change is to bring our AGM in line with other clubs
and organisations on campus. It will also allow for the executive to be
established before the start of the academic year for activity planning.
This will also help with the transition of representation onto the Academic
Board and Post Graduate Research Committee and for applying for funding.
Other minor amendments will be made to tidy up the written document.
The general meeting is to be held on Thursday 25 October 2018 at 1 pm,
Level 4 of the Library, Room 5
