I can run it on Win2k Client.
I used the following command:
C:\DJFHQ\Info_Extraction\Weka>java -classpath weka-3-2-3\weka-3-2-3\weka.jar
I have WekaMetal.jar in the CLASSPATH. I also used WinZip to "unzip" the JAR
files for Weka 3.2.3 and WekaMetal after downloading them.
My version of Java is the following:
java version "1.3.0_02"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.0_02, mixed mode)
PS I also noticed a possible typo in your quoted string which maybe should
"G:\Program Files\Weka-3-2-3\weka.jar" i.e. the "-3" is missing.

I've played around with the ClassPath, but it didn't help. I've also
from within IBM Websphere Application Developer, where it gets an IO error
because it can't find the cache files (ap.cache and dc.cache), even though
they're both in the same directory as the WekaMetal.jar file.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am applying ID3 to a medical data set and was wondering if there is a way to
get Weka to output the results of the ID3 algorithm graphically so that the
Specialist can interpret the results easily?
Hello, I can not seem to find any information regarding the results
which are produced by Weka after a cross-validation. Assuming
10-fold cv, how does Weka produce the confusion matrix. Is it
based on the results of the best fold, the last fold, or averaged in
some weird and wonderful way?
Also but less importantly, is it possible to capture the model/s that
are produced during cross-validation?

I tried using the WEKA explorer's apriori assocation on the iris.rtff
dataset and an error stating that numerical data cannot be processed. May I
know how I can modify this to allow it to work on numerical and text data?

I'm playing with Weka GUI version classifiers, which print some nice
messages. I got the Data Mining book too and there are a few explanations
on what classifier outputs mean. Still overall it's all rather cryptic and
not everything is described.
Could anyone please tell me where to find documentation on classifier
output (what do printed messages mean)?

i just started to use weka a couple of weeks ago and im trying to predict
data in weka. but i dont know how, i have 3 datasets: one is for training,
another for validation (the data set or portion of the original data
set (usually one third) that is used to avoid overfitting, i.e. to improve
the generalising capabilities of the model) and test (the unseen data
(which ideally is not coming from
the same sample as the training and the test data), which in the assignment
2 (and in general) is used to check the quality of your classifier)
now, for some reason weka wont take seperate training and validation sets
(or test sets in weka) so i used percentage splits instead. how does it
actually work, the percentage split? which portion becomes what?
anyway, so now im also stuck at predicting data using the test dataset. i
think the command line for this is:
java -cp weka.jar weka.classifiers.j48.J48 -t trainingfile.arff -T
testfile.arff -p 5 -C 0.25 -M 2
but it doesnt seem to predict. because i cant specify what to predict. the
test dataset i have has an empty colum to be filled in by weka, can weka
fill it in? or must it be done manually?
