I managed to make it work by inserting a question mark in all the empty cells in the “ggg”
column and then configuring the Excel loader for WEKA to interpret a question mark as a
missing value (by ticking “Invoke options dialogue” in the dialogue for opening files).
Not sure why the Excel loader isn’t interpreting empty cells as missing values.

I'm having some problems while loading the attached file in WEKA 3.8.1 (from the
It's a tiny dataset of 356 rows and 40 colums; some attributes are nominal, some
other (most of them) are numeric. The file is in the xlsx format.
Apparently WEKA seems to load the file, it does not give any error messages. It reads the
attribute names and the values of nominal attributes but gives no information such as
Count and Weight; as for numeric attributes, they're considered Nan.
In the Current realtion panel I have Instances: 0 and Sum of weights :0.
I tried transforming the xlsx file in xls and csv but the situation did not improve, Also
tried to transform the xlsx file in arff file from workflow panel but then could not read
properly the arff file.
Could you please help me?
Thanks a lot
