Here's a scam that's been doing the rounds. One of my friends in Dunedin received such a phone call:
One of the commenters below the article said he was runnng Linux ... and the caller said that may have caused the problem with his Windows!
If they ring me, I might just say something in broken English along the
lines of, " Sorry, I can't download your nasty fraudalent expensive malware on my
broken abacus, should I try the garbage disposal unit instead?"
Just to clarify if there was any confusion, there is no formal WLUG meeting
tonight at the Uni.
Having enjoyed a good break over the holiday period, the WLUG committee will
advise of the upcoming meeting schedule following the next committee
I hope you've enjoyed all enjoyed some time in the sun and catching up with
friends and family.

I have 3 servers , and 4 fiber cards (2 of infineon with intel chip,
and 2 with qlogic chip ) . So what I want to have one server as
storage and 2 running esxi, booting over the fiber, off the storage
server. I'm looking for a Howto on setting up a storage server that
presents storage over fiber. I have worked with Xiotech fiber storage
devices, from an administration of resources, so my knowledge of fibre
technology is limited. But this is a home project build on donated
hardware, so I need to build my own fiber storage server .. I have
googled and yet to find a clear howto on this... Any input welcome
