In principle, it doesn't seem that far removed from the OLPC XO. Even
if the XO itself is not a success, it will become important because of
the technologies it has introduced. Perhaps computing will move to
the lightweight portable system that you carry around with you and use
where you happen to be, with your data being stored elsewhere (eg on
the net or USB flash drive).
Talking of the OLPC, the New York Times review ...
(the YouTube video) was quite well-done - showing off the advantages
of the "hard"ware. Good sales pitch! Well worth watching.
